WEIGHTED BLANKET FAQ
Our recommendation is to stick to 8-10% of your total body weight (**plus or minus 1 or 2 pounds) unless you strongly feel you want something heavier or lighter.
There are ties that secure the duvet cover to the inner weighted comforter. Upon receiving your weighted blanket, we recommend unzipping the duvet to ensure the ties are secured so the blanket does not pool in one place.
If your blanket is pooling toward the middle, double check that the blanket is securely fastened to the duvet. Simply unzip the duvet and use the ties around the perimeter of the blanket to securely reattach it to the duvet. If this does not solve the issue, please reach out to our customer success team to provide further instructions.
DreamHug⢠uses High Density Plastic Poly Pellets as the weighted filling. High Density Plastic Pellets are manufactured using High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which is extremely durable, non-toxic, washer / dryer safe, and pet and kid friendly.
The DreamHug⢠Cool Gray duvet cover is made from a premium, baby-soft micro plush fleece and is removable for washing.
Yes, both the weighted comforter and duvet cover are machine washable. Remove the duvet cover before washing, and machine wash in cold water with similar colors, using non-chlorine bleach. Tumble dry on low and cool iron if needed. The DreamHug⢠Weighted Blanket can also be dry cleaned.
The DreamHug⢠Weighted Blanket is ideal for a single individual, however couples can squeeze together and still enjoy the weighted comfort and relaxation. We do recommend ordering two blankets if you want to experience maximum benefits of the weighted blanket as a couple.
DreamHug⢠Weighted Blankets are 48âx 72â and available in 10 and 20 pounds.
As of January 2019 our DreamHug⢠duvet covers are only available in Cool Gray and come in the standard size of 48 x 72 inches. We will consider adding new colors, sizes, and new products in the future, so please check back with us and register for our mailing list to receive updates and promotions.
DreamHug⢠Weighted Blankets should not be used by children under three years old or by an individual weighing less than 50 pounds due to potential health hazards.
We love our pets and want to ensure they stay safe. Due to the heavy weight of our blanket, owners of small-sized pets should use caution when using a DreamHug⢠Weighted Blanket with them. We do not recommend using a DreamHug⢠Weighted Blanket on a person/pet weighing less than 50 pounds.
DreamHug⢠Weighted Blankets were designed for year-round use. Our product includes a warm outer shell for the winter months, and a breathable base layer for the summer months.
